Eschewing the usual starting point of commercial office furniture systems – ours are all made from scratch – these projects for bootstrap dot.com firms focus on the re-imagining of the collaborative workspace on a shoestring budget.
In the first, abstractly organic work tables branch from wood quivers containing power sources. This spiral of leaves in the studio is bookended by management on one side and lounge spaces on the other. Wall-sized pivot doors separate and connect to two worlds.
In the second, totemic spaceship scaled work tables in the studio project perpendicular to a hundred foot, glowing lumasite wall behind which are day-lit lounges, a library, and lunchroom. The diffused daylight is ideal for computer work and eliminates the need for most overhead lighting during the day. These elements are then wrapped in a curved shell that separates private offices and conferencing spaces.
